Born and raised in Massapequa, New York, Steve attended York College of Pennsylvania and received a Juris Doctorate from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University.
Prior to joining Liakas Law, P.C., Steve worked in an Admiralty Practice, where he managed and worked on complex maritime issues such as, personal injury, property damage, wrongful death, allision, collision, limitation of liability, commercial contract disputes, insurance coverage cases, Jones Act cases, Labor Law § 240, 241(6) matters, and Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA) matters.
Steve graduated from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in the spring of 2020 and was a member of the Hofstra Criminal Justice Clinic, where he represented clients for various misdemeanors in Nassau District Court. Additionally, Steve was a member of the American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel (ACTEC) Law Journal as Research Editor. Lastly, Steve was the Vice President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society in his 2L and 3L years.
Prior to attending Hofstra Law School, Steve attended York College of Pennsylvania where he played on the baseball team and received four (4) varsity letters and graduated with a degree in Sport Management with a minor in Pre-Law and Athletic Administration.
