Kostantinos “Kosta” Moukas, Esq.

Kosta Moukas is an Associate Attorney at Liakas Law, P.C., where he is dedicated to advocating for individuals injured by negligence and unsafe conditions. Drawing on his extensive background in construction and business operations, Kosta brings a practical, safety-focused perspective to every case and is committed to holding responsible parties accountable. 

Before becoming an attorney, Kosta spent nearly a decade in the construction industry as a Project Manager and Asbestos Supervisor, overseeing multimillion-dollar projects and ensuring strict compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. He supervised on-site crews, coordinated with contractors and municipalities, and worked daily in high-risk environments where adherence to safety protocols was critical. This firsthand experience gives Kosta a unique ability to analyze construction accidents, identify regulatory violations, and understand how hazardous conditions develop and could have been prevented. 

Kosta also brings significant business and leadership experience to his legal practice. As the former owner of a national aviation logistics company, he successfully built and managed a rapidly growing enterprise, negotiated complex contracts, and led large teams under demanding conditions. This background sharpened his strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and ability to advocate effectively for clients facing powerful corporate and insurance interests. 

Kosta earned his Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where he was an Inaugural Lewis Johs Merit Scholarship recipient and an active member of the Dispute Resolution Society, Sports & Entertainment Law Society, and Real Estate Law Association. He received his Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies, cum laude, from St. John’s University, with a minor in Psychology, and was a Dean’s List honoree.
