Jason Paget is a Lead Attorney with Liakas Law, P.C., focusing his practice on representing injured individuals and their families in serious personal injury cases. With more than 15 years of personal injury litigation experience, Jason has managed personal injury lawsuits through every stage of litigation, from initial investigation through discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal. He has tried several cases to verdict in New York State Supreme Court and argued appeals before New York’s Appellate Division.
Jason has achieved millions of dollars in settlements and judgments on behalf of injured plaintiffs and their families. Before focusing his practice on representing plaintiffs, Jason spent years as a trial attorney representing property owners, large corporations, construction companies, municipal entities, and other institutions in serious personal injury and other high-stakes litigation. Jason also gained early litigation and trial experience through positions with the New York City Transit Authority, the New York State Attorney General’s Office, the New York County District Attorney’s Office, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. That experience gives him valuable and unique insight into how insurance companies, defense counsel, and institutional defendants evaluate and attack claims, challenge liability, and attempt to limit damages. He uses that knowledge to help build stronger cases for the individuals and families that he represents.
Jason earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where he received Excellence for the Future Awards in Constitutional Law and Federal Criminal Law. He graduated cum laude, with highest distinction, from the University at Buffalo. He is admitted to practice in New York and in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
