
Russell T. McHugh has taken all types of personal injury cases to trial, having started as a defense attorney trying medical malpractice cases. In his close to forty years of practice, Russell has successfully litigated all types of cases, including labor law/construction, premises, automobile accident, products liability, and medical malpractice matters for both plaintiffs and defendants through trial and verdict. For the past two decades, his focus has been on assisting the injured in their fight against the insurance companies and corporations that would deny their lawful claims. He zealously represents his clients, utilizing his unique perspective and insight into the defense bar to obtain the results, the justice for which the aggrieved and injured clients are entitled. He received his J.D. from American University/Washington College of Law in 1986 and his BA in economics/philosophy from New York University (NYU) in 1983.
He has enjoyed playing all sports and spent years coaching youngsters in basketball, soccer, and lacrosse before leaving coaching and becoming a soccer referee for many years. He also enjoys playing chess, reading, and spending free time with his family.
